Session Times and Fees
Session Times (term time only)
AM Session - Monday - Friday - 8.30am - 11.30am
PM Session - Monday - Friday - 12.00pm - 3.00pm
Please note that session times are different to the Cranfield Academy
school's day to allow for easier drop-off and collection of older siblings.
2023-2024 Session Fees (for a 3 hour session)
£15.00 a session (where additional hours are booked beyond those funded)
Lunch club - Monday - Friday – 11.30am -12.00pm - £2.50 a session
Please note that your child must bring a packed lunch for lunch club.
Pre-School Education Funding Entitlement:
All children are entitled to Government funding for up to 15 hours of childcare from the term after they turn 3. Eligible children can claim an extra 15 hours, to a total of 30 funded hours per week. A funding form will be given to you in the first weeks of term and we ask that you complete and return this form as promptly as possible. Currently, the entitlement allows for up to 15 to 30 hours of childcare per week and this can be shared between two settings if you wish.
Children become entitled to receive Nursery Education Funding in the term following their second* or third birthday in accordance with the table below.
Children who are 2 or 3 between: |
Will have a free place from the following: |
1st April and 31st August |
1st September following either their second or third birthday. |
1st September and 31st December |
1st January following either their second or third birthday. |
1st January and 31st March |
1st April following either their second or third birthday. |
*There is also funding available for some 2 year olds.
A 2 year old is eligible for funding the term after their second birthday if:
- They are looked after by the Local Authority.
- They meet the criteria used to determine eligibility for Free School Meals.
- Their family receives Working Tax Credits and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190 a year.
- They have a current Education, Health and Care Plan.
- The child is entitled to Disability Living Allowance.
- They are no longer looked-after by the Local Authority as a result of an adoption order, a special guardianship order or a residence order.

Additional Sessions:
If you require further sessions in addition to the funded 15 hours a week for your child, additional charges will apply and you will be invoiced for these sessions at the start of each half term. We are unable to make reductions for absence or holidays. We ask for payment by cash, BACS, cheque or childcare vouchers.
If you wish your child to attend lunch club you will be required to pay the lunch club fees. Places at lunch club need to be booked in advance at the Braeburn Way School Office.
We require and appreciate a half term’s notice if you wish your child to leave the Pre-School or to change any session bookings.
